How do you think the people conquered by the Romans felt about their new rulers

Many nations willingly joined, while those who didn't were slaughtered and sold into slavery. Many liked the fact of becoming a Roman citizen and many could hold high places, for example many emperors of Rome were from Spain, but some like the Boudicca  in Britain revolted against her Roman masters.
