By the speech which was given by Davis, it led to the passing of the law Chinese exclusion law in the year 1882 which exempted the immigration from China from entering the United States.

They exempted them from entering because there was reduction in the demand of the labor because of these Chinese immigrants and the white people also wanted to maintain their own dignity and respect so this law was passed.
