Assuming that the corner of the fence has right angle, the the area that the dog wandered will be given by:
A=θ/360πr²
Where:
θ=360-90=270°
r=49 ft
hence the area will be:
A=270/360×π×49²
A=5657.23 ft²
Thus the dog will wander in the area of 5657.23 ft²

Answer:

5698 sq. cm is the answer.

Step-by-step explanation:

Since dog cannot enter the garden therefore and it can wander as maximum as its rope can move which actually makes a circle. therefore it makes 3rd fourth of circle  with radius 49 cm and then one fourth part  circle with radius 7 cm  with another corner ( From the corner 42 foot away from where the leash begins ,the dog has only 49 - 42 = 7 foot of leash left )

So total area covered by dog = \frac{3}{4} \pi {(49)}^2 +

                                                     \frac{1}{4} \pi {(7)}^2

                                                 = \frac{49}{4} \pi [49(3) + 1]

                                                  =  \frac{49}{4} \pi (148)

                                                  = 37  (49) (\frac{22}{7}

                                                   = 37x7x22

                                                   =5698  sq cm

mars1129 [50]

Answer:

Pete runs farther per carry.

Step-by-step explanation:

Given:

Branden and Pete both play running back.

Branden carries the ball 75 times for 550 yards.

Pete had 42 carries for 380 yards

Question asked:

Who runs farther per carry ?

Solution:

First of all we find each boy's distance covered per carry:-

<u>For Branden</u>

Branden carries the ball 75 times for = 550 yards.

Branden carries the ball 1 time for = \frac{550}{75} =7.34\ yard

<u>For Pete </u>

Pete carries 42 times for = 380 yards

Pete carries 1 time for = \frac{380}{42} =9.05\ yards

As Pete runs 9.05 yards for 1 carry while Branden runs 7.34 yards for 1 carry, hence Pete runs farther per carry.

Free_Kalibri [48]

Answer:

A) 113 m²

Step-by-step explanation:

Use the formula for area of a circle.

Area of a circle = πr²

π = pi = 3.14 (rounded)

r = radius

² = the power of 2, or the radius (in this case) multiplied by itself.

Note that the radius is given, and it is 6. Plug in 6 for the radius:

A (circle) = π(6)²

First, solve the power. Multiply 6²:

6² = 6 * 6 = 36

Next, multiply 36 with π (3.14):

36 x 3.14 = 113.04

A) 113 m² is your closest answer.
