Well it had many types of impact in the world some bad and some good :)
In a way, indirectly it also contributed to a increased rate of population because of improved standard of live!
But ofcourse as it's quite visible the main benefit of industrial revolution is the increased standard of living!
Just by comparing the average life conditions from late 1800 to present times .... (i don't mean the fashion) it's just mind boggling.
