Answer:

Yes, the semi colon is fine. The one thing I would suggest changing, is where you said "much deeper", 'much' is not needed.

Explanation:

"It gives viewers a deeper insight as to just how important automobiles were during this specific time period; the ‘20s."

'Deeper' alone makes more sense than 'much deeper", it also sounds better than it did before. Hope this helps :)

Find 3 direct quotes in the story that portray how cold it is outside in To Build a Fire
nikdorinn [45]

Answer: The quotes "Fifty degrees below zero meant 80 degrees of frost", "The dog made quick efforts to get the ice off its legs." and "As he laughed, he noted the numbness in his bare fingers."

Explanation: The story narrates the experience of the main character facing different challenges that come with coldness. He was not very good at foreseeing the consequences of some facts. He knew "Fifty degrees below zero meant 80 degrees of frost", but he didn't imagine man's weakness to extreme temperatures. It also mentions the experience of his companionship; "The dog made quick efforts to get the ice off its legs." it shows that the dog was struggling with the ice made by the wheather too. And finally "As he laughed, he noted the numbness in his bare fingers.", implying that his fingers were so frozen that he couldn't move them.

Which of these is a feature of gothic writing that makes it different from other romantic genres?
Damm [24]

The correct answer is the following: option B. A feature of Gothic writing that makes it different from other romantic genres is the exploration of an obsessive psyche. The term of "Gothic" refers to stories that combine aspects of both horror and romanticism. While Gothic writing often shares romantic characteristics such as the appreciation of beauty, the natural world and the innocence, its main difference is that Gothic stories often have a theme of exploring an obsessive psyche. Gothic writing includes characteristics from the romantic genre, but adapting them to its own style, a style that is mixed with horror.
