I need help so bad this makes no sence

Math really can seem hopeless at times, can it? I can't recall the number of times that I've given up on math, but enough about me! There is a certain theorem in Geometry that states that the angle formed by two secant segments, 9x-5, is equal to half the difference between the intercepted arcs (64 and 158). I know this might sound extraterrestrial, but bear with me! Here is what it would look like in numerical form.

angle formed by secant segments = (1/2) (big intercepted arc - small intercepted arc)
(9x - 5) = (1/2)(158 - 64)
9x - 5 = (1/2)(94)
9x - 5 = 47
9x = 52
x = 52/9 or 5 7/9

We substitute the y in. They already gave us the equation 2x-4=y simplified so you would just plug this into the other equation

2(2x-4) +3x=13 : *distribute*

4x-8+3x=13 :  *combine like terms*

7x-8=13  * add the 8 to the other side*

7x=21 *divide*

x=3

So  the y=2x-4 is what we added in the place of the y to subtract it and solve for x. The second step would be solving for y. So now that we have our answer, 3  we plug it into the other equation preferably.

2(3)-4 =y : 6-4=y : 2=y

We can check our answer by pugging both x and y into both equations to make sure they are right. The statement should be true.

2x-4=y         2(3)-4=(2)    2=2

2y+3x=13    2(2)+3(3)=13    13=13

B. Let X be the number of children. Number of pieces eaten = 5 per child = 5X.

c. 22 pieces are left over.

D. Combine line A and line C. Total number of pieces eaten = 80 original minus 22 left over. Result 58 pieces were eaten by X children: 58 = 5X.

E. Solve the equation 58 = 5X by dividing both sides by 5.

WHOOPS! Is this a trick question? Solving the above results in the answer that there are 11.6 children at the party. Hmmm. That 0.6 child is a question mark for me.

Looks like someone miscounted the pizza slices. Or omitted some pertinent information. But, I’m sure there is a logical answer.
