The main thing that allowed Russia the ability to fight for so long was it's size. Invading armies would quickly grow tired and many would die in the harsh Russian winters.

This was a military conference, with nine countries attending which were: the United States,Japan, China, Great Britain, Belgium, France, Netherlands and Portugal.
