Then the base and height are equal

2). the longest side measures 11 inches

<u>To find the smaller side</u>

Then sum of other 2 sides = 27 - 11 = 16

Base = height = 16/2 = 8 inches

<u>To find the are of triangle</u>

Area = 1/2 * Base*Height

Base = 8 inches and Height = 8 inches

Area = 1/2 * 8* 8 = 32 square inches
