In The poem “Ode on a Grecian Urn”, John Keats says that the art is eternal and it leaves its fragrance beyond imagination. This is also evident from the repetition of word “forever” to illustrate that the image on the vase is eternal and will live forever. On the other hand, John Keats in “On Seeing the Elgin Marbles” says that everything fades away. This is the harsh reality of life that John Keats realized when seeing Elgin Marbles. John Keats concludes that even art looses its fragrance over time and nothing is eternal.
