Answer:

The correct answer is option C: $26.47

Step-by-step explanation:

Natasha orders 3 large holders for $4.95 each, 2 medium holders for 3.25 each and 2 small holders for $1.75 each.

Total cost becomes:

(3\times4.95)+(2\times3.25)+(2\times1.75)

=14.85+6.5+3.5=24.85 dollars

15% off on $24.85 will be = 0.15\times24.85=3.7275

So, Natasha has to pay = 24.85-3.7275=21.1225 dollars

There is no sales tax on her purchase, but she must pay a flat rate of $5.35 for shipping and handling.

Total amount now becomes = 21.1225+5.35=26.4725 dollars

Therefore, option C is the answer.

She received 15% off, so she actually paid 85%

0.85(( 3*4.95) + (2* 3.25) + (2*1.75) + 5.35)) = 0.85(30.20) = 25.67
um...I have double checked this, and I am not getting an answer choice.

Please explain how you got this answer.
Tema [17]
150 times

out of the first 5 cards, there is a 3/5 chance of drawing a yellow.
if you replace the card and draw again, you still have a 3/5 chance of drawing a yellow card.
keep doing this process for 250 draws, each draw will always have 3/5 chance of drawing a yellow card.

so 3/5 +3/5 +3/5 +...  (250 times) = 250 x 3/5 = 150
