The first question is saying that one day, a item was 12 dollars! Then, they lowered the prince by 1 dollar. And then again another dollar. And then they added 3 dollars to the price.

The expression would be 12 - 2 + 3!

Evaluating the expression (what’s the answer-solve the expression) would be 13 dollars. So the answer is 13 dollars.
