3/4 is 45 minutes, cause a quarter of an hour is 15 minutes. 6-9 = -3 so you basically do Noon subtracted by another 3 hours which is 9am, then subtract those 45 minutes

6pm - 6 hours = 12pm
(Noon) 12pm - 3 hours= 9am
then 45 minutes
9am - 45 minutes
8:15AM

It will be 8:15 am because if you start at 8:15 am and you add 9 hours 45 minutes you get 18 and the 18 hours of the day its 6:00 pm

A family is purchasing a house and needs to finance a $195,000 mortgage from the bank with an annual percentage rate (APR) of 5.
Alecsey [184]

Monthly payment is $1082.84.

Solution:

Given data:

Principal = $195000

Rate per year = 5.3\% =\frac{5.3}{100}=0.053

Rate per month = \frac{0.053}{12} =0.004416

Time = 30 × 12 = 360 month

<u>To find the monthly payment using formula:</u>

$\text{Monthly payment}=P\times\frac{r(1+r)^n}{(1+r)^n-1}

                           $=195000\times\frac{0.004416(1+0.004416)^{360}}{(1+0.004416)^{360}-1}

                           $=195000\times\frac{0.004416(1.004416)^{360}}{(1.004416)^{360}-1}

If you simplify this using calculator, we get

                           =1082.84

Monthly payment = $1082.84

Option C is the correct answer.

Hence monthly payment is $1082.84.

The endpoints of EF are E(2, 3) and F(8, 11). The midpoint of EF is M.<br> Find the length of EM.
Serga [27]

The midpoint of EF is M. The length of EM is 5

Given :

The endpoints of EF are E(2, 3) and F(8, 11).

M is the midpoint of EF

Lets find out the midpoint M using midpoint formula

(\frac{x_1+x_2}{2} ,\frac{y_1+y_2}{2} )\\E (x_1,y_1) is (2,3)\\F(x_2,y_2) is (8,11)

Substitute the values inside the formula

(\frac{x_1+x_2}{2} ,\frac{y_1+y_2}{2} )\\\\(\frac{2+8}{2} ,\frac{3+11}{2} )\\\\(5,7)

Midpoint M is (4,7)

Now to find out length of EM, we use distance formula

Distance = \sqrt{\left(x_2-x_1\right)^2+\left(y_2-y_1\right)^2}\\\mathrm{The\:distance\:between\:}\left(2,\:3\right)\mathrm{\:and\:}\left(5,\:7\right)\\\sqrt{\left(5-2\right)^2+\left(7-3\right)^2}\\\sqrt{3^2+4^2} \\\sqrt{25}\\5

So, length of EM= 5
