Answer:

The correct answer choice from the list, to answer the question: Which of the following is not an example of generalized seizure?, would be, A: simple partial.

Explanation:

Seizures, which are a symptom of a major brain disorder called epilepsy, are defined as the erratic, and suddenly disorganized, firing of neurons inside the hemispheres of the brain. Some of these electrical impulses may be limited to a specific part of the brain, in only one of the two hemispheres, which is why this type of seizure would be known as focal, or partial. However, in generalized seizures, the disorganized electrical impulses sent by neurons, take both of the hemispheres and can cause a complete collpase of the brain functions, as the brain is incapable of communicating. There is a list of various seizure types within the category of generalized seizures. These are: absence (known as petit mal), tonic-clonic, or convulsive seizures, atonic seizures, clonic seizures, clonic, tonic and myoclonic seizures. Their category depends on how the body reacts to the disorganized firing of the neurons, the region of the brain that is affected and the connected organs and tissue that responds to the disorganized stimulus sent by the neurons.

FrozenT [24]

Answer:

The most likely cause of the hearing change is a long exposure to high-frequency noise during a 4-hour flight.

Explanation:

The most common high-frequency sensorineural hearing loss is normally caused by noise exposure or aging, and often both. In this condition loud noises like a plane taking off or explosion damage the hair cells at the base of the cochlea.

The man experiencing tinnitus and hearing loss after the four-hour flight and as per the audiogram demonstration, the cause of the hearing change is most likely due to the exposure of the high-frequency sound or noise.

Thus, the correct answer is a long exposure to high-frequency noise during a 4-hour flight.

On the first postpartum day, a neonate diagnosed with an ABO incompatibility has a bilirubin level of 10 mg/dL (170 µmol/L). Aft
Ivanshal [37]

Answer:

"The baby will need an exchange transfusion with type A blood."

Explanation:

The mother would need to be enlightened about how ABO incompatibility works and the necessary solution. She said "The baby will need an exchange transfusion with type A blood." However ABO compatibility happens when the mother has type O blood group and the neonate is either A, B, or AB and unless the bilirubin concentration reaches dangerous levels such as (~20 mg/dL or 342 umol/L), there is no need for an exchange transfusion. If an exchange transfusion does become necessary, type O blood is used or treatment with phototherapy.

6. Explain why household measurement devices, such as teaspoons and tablespoons, should be avoided when measuring dosages?
grin007 [14]
Im not entirely sure, but they probably are not accurate enough (spillage etc.), whereas a syringe or another device is more contained and able to be effectively and scientifically measured, so there is less human error incorporated in the dosage amount. Hope this helps
