In "Mending Wall," what is the figurative meaning of the speaker saying of his neighbor, "He will not go behind his father's say

ing?
The neighbor must do as his father has ordered him to do and rebuild the wall.

The neighbor will not break from tradition and the conventional wisdom that has been passed down to him.

The neighbor's father was not as close-minded or set in his ways as the neighbor clearly is.

The neighbor is a fool who is putting himself and the speaker in danger with his outdated ideas.

Why do you think Jack insists on going up the mountain to look for the beast even though it’s already dark when they arrive? Wha
FromTheMoon [43]
Jack insists on going up the mountain to look for the beast even though it's already dark when they arrive is because in this way, he shows his fearlessness. it also lets him be the first one to be the first to discover the beast. Ralph is not really convinced that everything is one thing or another. on one hand, he is torn between his baser nature that has enjoyed the hunt of the pig and his longing for home as he observes how disheveled everyone is and "how infinite the water is" and the "brutal obtuseness of the ocean"

Answer:

O the frozen landscape surrounding the trail.

Explanation:

The description above allows the reader to imagine the frozen landscape surrounding the trail. On top of the ice which covered the Yukon was pure white snow. This snow found on the landscape formed undulations which are rising and falling outlines.

The snow could be found North and South of the environment. Its color was described as unbroken white. The spruce-covered island was covered in snow.
