STALIN [3.7K]
Physical ailments manifest differently in a geriatric patient compared to other patient population since geriatric patient already has weak immune system which is more susceptible to diseases. In regard to their bone density they too have low density that can be at risk for ailment such as osteoporosis, bone fractures, osteoarthritis and etc. One then should be able to demonstrate professionalism and sensitivity by having proper communication by conveying words to elders in a proper manner and being patient in case they do not get it or can do it right away. One should also include exercises that elders can easily adapt.

mina [271]
The answer is Time is the independent variable, and the number of birds is the dependent variable.

An independent variable is variable that is not affected in the experiment. It is what experimenter controls. On the other side, a dependent variable is called dependent because it depends on the independent variables. It is what is affected during the experiment.
In Sam investigation, he controls time - he counts birds at 6 a.m. and 6 p.m. So, time is the independent variable. The number of birds is affected during the experiment, so it must be the dependent variable.

Sati [7]

Answer:

The consumption of mosquitoes by bats and the control of flooding provided by tropical forests in mountainous areas of central america are examples of ecosystem services.

Explanation:

Ecosystem services can be described as the functions performed by parts of the ecosystem which benefit in regulating the ecosystem. These services offer a huge help to humans without the humans having to perform any work. For example, in the above question, humans are naturally getting rid of mosquitoes because the mosquitoes are being consumed by the bats. The floods in Central America are also being controlled by the tropical forests and humans have no work in it. Hence, both these examples show ecosystem services.
