Gonzalo Fernandez de Oviedo y Valdes was a Spanish historian, and one of the main sources we have of life in the Caribbean shortly after the Spanish conquest.

In this sentence, Fernandez de Oviedo is talking about the decimation of the indigenous Taino people on the island of La Hispaniola. Victims of warfare, but mostly infectious diseases, their culture was lost almost completely in a few years. At the arrival of the Spanish conquistadors in Taino population in La Hispaniola was between 100,000 and 1,000,000.

Bartolome de Las Casas wrote that:

"There were 60,000 people living on this island [when I arrived in 1508], including the Indians; so that from 1494 to 1508, over three million people had perished from war, slavery and the mines. Who in future generations will believe this?"

Although the exact numbers are uncertain, it is believed that about 80-90% of the Taino population was exterminated in thirty years.

What qualified a citizen in the Han Dynasty to hold a government job?
Gekata [30.6K]
It was a imperial examination in Song Dynasty (later on), but in Han Confucianism was hella on, so u need dat knowledge to be in gov. A lot of goverment after Qin Dynasty (previous dynasty) was adopted. So the Emperor had all the power, and all the "jobs" cam down on familly line. So pretty much be wealthy, know confucianism, and have a father who was in the gov, or if the emporer chose u, and u must have a d!(k. Okey, just googled in wiki to be sure and it's says "the states made by the emperor were assigned to official dedication..." So I guess emperor chose the gov, but all of them had to be educated. Sooo if that helps, hard question though.

These are all opinion based about the constitution so answer them and ill give u brainliest.
Leokris [45]

By the final constitution i'm assuming you mean the tenth amendment which is assigning all power not delegated to the United States, or prohibited to the states, to either the states or to the people.

I wouldn't have changed this because in england at that time all the power was to the king and the people didn't get to say on certain matters. Though if I had to make it I'd make it so women could vote, because back then the men get to do have all the power and it's not equal, so I would obviously include women and minorities into the people with power.

✿

The most important role in the government for me is the president because if we have a horrible president (Donald Trump) then there's a lot of thing's that will go wrong inside the U.S, ranging from same sex marriage potentially being taken away, women's rights being in danger, ect. Having someone like that in the highest form of power over millions of people is uh- gross? You need someone who would actually care about the people and would do what's right, that's why this is the most important role.

✿

The least important role in the government for me is the people in charge that abuse their power. Yes, this might not be a role inside the government but the fact that they keep people like this in power while knowing the abusive things they do, is disgusting.

Ack I hope this is what you're talking about, sorry it's lengthy. ^^;
