He aided as the Secretary of the State under the Presidentship of William Harry Harrison, Millard, Fillmore, and John Tyler. They just split the land as they wanted, so what happened was that tribes were mixed together or one tribe was separated into two different countries or anything similar like that occurred where disregard for culture was shown.
