They sold 168 pizzas.
Multiple 4 by 12 (a dozen). That’s how many they sold that afternoon. In the afternoon they sold 2.5 times 48 pizzas. that gives you 120. They sold 48 in the afternoon and 120 that night. You would add those in order to get how many they sold that day: 168. Let me know if you have any questions :)

How do I solves these problems
77julia77 [94]
1) 2z= -6
divide both sides by 2
2z/2= -6/2
2 on the left cancels out
z= -3

2) y/-5= 20
multiply both sides by -5
(-5)(y/-5)= (-5)(20)
-5 on the left cancels out
y= -100

Hope this helps! :)

2x + 5y = 10 2x + 3y = 6
Alexxx [7]
2x + 5y = 10....multiply by -1
2x + 3y = 6
---------------
-2x - 5y = -10 (result of multiplying by -1)
2x + 3y = 6
---------------add
-2y = - 4
y = -4/-2
y = 2

2x + 5y = 10
2x + 5(2) = 10
2x + 10 = 10
2x = 10 - 10
2x = 0
x = 0

solution : (0,2)
