Lenny is 3 times older then Max. When you subtract Max's age from Lenny's age, you get 24

Let the Lenny's age is L

Max's age is M

Lenny is 3 times older then Max

Lenny = 3 * Max

So L = 3M

When you subtract Max's age from Lenny's age, you get 24.

L - M = 24

Replace L with 3M

The equation  that represents the situation is

3M - M = 24

(b) Solve the equation

3M - M = 24

2M = 24 (Divide by 2)

M = 12

Max's age = 24

Lenny's age = 3 * 12 = 36

So Lenny's age is 36

lina2011 [118]

Answer:

Her regular weekly pay is $62 and her annual salary is $3100.

Step-by-step explanation:

Given that her hourly wage=$15.50 / hour

As she works 40 hours per week, so her weekly pay = 15.50 x 40 = $62/ week.

If she works 50 weeks each year, so her yearly pay = 62x50=$3100 /year.

Hence, her regular weekly pay is $62 and her annual salary is $3100.

Alex73 [517]
We need to build a system of equations:

a + b + c = 127......(1)
b  - c = 13..............(2)
a - b - c = 41..........(3)

adding equations (1) and (3):-

2a = 168
a = 84
Substituting for in equation (1)-
84 + b + c = 127
b   + c = 43...........(4)
Adding equations (2) and (4):-
2b = 56

b = 28
Finally from equation (2)
c = 28-13 = 15

Answer is Country a had 84 points , b had 28 points and c had 15 points.

How do you graph x-y=1 and 3x+2y=-12
Nataliya [291]

Answer:

Graph the equations

Step-by-step explanation:

x - y = 1

3x + 2y = - 12

Rewrite equations into y=mx+b form:

y = -1 + x

y = -6 - 1.5x

Graph it!
