Marysya12 [62]

All of the following groups settled in northern Carolina during the early colonial period, EXCEPT the: Quakers

Explanation:

Behind the first enduring English colony was established in 1607, English colonists soon populated the whole eastern seaboard of the present-day United States. All had several reasons for traveling crosswise the Atlantic, pointing to several distinct colonies. The New England colonies were established to avoid religious exile in England.

The New England colonies brought Puritan settlers with groups and not single enslaved servants, unlike the Chesapeake colonies. The Middle colonies invited a diverse group of European migrants, including Germans, Scots-Irish, French, and Swedish families, along with English migrants. Many Quakers occupied the colony of Pennsylvania.

Write 18 facts the Mexican culture has contributed to the American culture. Worth 20 points.
fiasKO [112]

Explanation:

The culture of Mexico reflects the country's complex history. Mexicans developed a culture of their own which has been influenced by Native and Spanish cultures and minor influences from around the worldFirst inhabited more than 10,000 years ago, the cultures that developed in Mexico became one of the cradles of civilization. During the 300-year rule by the Spanish, Mexico was a crossroads for the people and cultures of Europe, Africa, and Asia. The government of independent Mexico actively promoted shared cultural traits in order to create a national identity.[citation needed]

The culture of an individual Mexican is influenced by familial ties, gender, religion, location, and social class, among other factors. In many ways, contemporary life in the cities of Mexico has become similar to that in the neighboring United States and in Europe, with provincial people conserving traditions more than city dwellers.

Racism and discrimination in
the world ??
Aleks [24]

Answer:

Racial discrimination is any discrimination against any individual on the basis of their skin color, or racial or ethnic origin.[1][2] Individuals can discriminate by refusing to do business with, socialize with, or share resources with people of a certain group. Governments can discriminate in a de facto fashion or explicitly in law, for example through policies of racial segregation, disparate enforcement of laws, or disproportionate allocation of resources. Some jurisdictions have anti-discrimination laws which prohibit the government or individuals from discriminating based on race (and sometimes other factors) in various circumstances. Some institutions and laws use affirmative action to attempt to overcome or compensate for the effects of racial discrimination. In some cases, this is simply enhanced recruitment of members of underrepresented groups; in other cases, there are firm racial quotas. Opponents of strong remedies like quotas characterize them as reverse discrimination, where members of a dominant or majority group are discriminated against.
