Answer:

$75.

Step-by-step explanation:

We have been given that Grammy gave the server a $15 tip. The tip was 20% of the cost of dinner.

Let x be the cost of Grammy's dinner. We need to find x such that 20% of x equals to 15. We can represent this information as:

\frac{20}{100}x=15

0.20 x=15

x=\frac{15}{0.20}

x=75

Therefore, the cost of Grammy's dinner was $75.

A kite string is 35m long. The angle the string makes with the ground is 50o
kipiarov [429]

Answer:

22.50m

Step-by-step explanation:

With the ground, the horizontal ground distance is the adjacent side, so by SOHCAHTOA, the ratio used is cosine, i.e.

Ground distance

= hypotenuse * cos(50°)

= 35 cos(50°)

= 35*0.64279

= 22.50m

Solve the inequality. -4x + 15 < -21
Dmitriy789 [7]

Answer:

x>9

Step-by-step explanation:

-4x + 15 < -21

Subtract 15 from each side

-4x + 15-15 < -21-15

-4x < -36

Divide each side by -4, remembering to flip the inequality

-4x/-4> -36/-4

x >9

Annual fixed costs for a product are $75,000. The product itself sells for $6 and it costs $2 in variable costs to make each pro
rusak2 [61]

Given

Annual fixed costs for a product are $75,000.

The product i sells for $6

it costs $2 in variable costs to make each product.

the variable cost per unit goes up to $2.50

find out how many units will the annual break-even point for the product change .

To proof

FORMULA

Break even = Fixed cost ÷  Contribution margin per unit

where

Contribution margin per unit = sale price - variable price

Take two cases

Case first

fixed costs for a product =  $75,000

product itself sells =  $6

variable costs  = $2

put all the value in the above equation

we get

Contribution margin per unit = 6 - 2

                                               = 4

Break even (say B1 ) = \frac{75000}{4}

                                        = 18750 units

CASE SECOND

 the variable cost per unit goes up to $2.50

put value inthe formula

Contribution margin per unit = 6 - 2.50

                                               = 3.5

Break even (say B2 ) = \frac{75000}{3.5}

we get

Breakeven (sayB2) = 21428.6 unit

change in the break even product = B2- B1

                                                         = 21428.6 - 18750

                                                        =  2678.6 unit

Hence proved
