Answer:

The mistake my friend made was that pepperoni and peppers are mixed up, pepperoni is suppose to be 20% while peppers is supposed to be 14%

Step-by-step explanation:

Given that 4000 students

Pepperoni = 800

Sausage = 1,000

Mushrooms = 1,200

Peppers = 560

Onions = 240

Other = 200

To find the degree of each on the circle graph, we have:

Pepperoni = 800/4,000 * 100 = 20%

Sausage = 1,000/4,000 * 100 = 25%

Mushrooms = 1,200/4,000 * 100 = 30%

Peppers = 560/4,000 * 100 = 14%

Onions = 240/4,000 * 100 = 6%

Other = 200/4,000 * 100 = 5%

The mistake my friend made is that pepperoni and peppers are mixed up, pepperoni is suppose to be 20% while peppers is supposed to be 14%

a) Everyone on the team talks until the entire team agrees on one decision. O b) Everyone on the team discusses options and then
insens350 [35]

Answer:

a) Everyone on the team talks until the entire team agrees on one decision.

Step-by-step explanation:

Option B consists of voting and not everyone would like the outcome. Option C is making an outsider the decision maker, which can't be helpful since he / she won't have as strong opinions as the team itself. Option D is just plain wrong as it defeats the purpose of team work and deciding as one team. So, I believe option A makes the most sense

At the Boston Marathon there were 20,000 runners who finished the race. Each runner ran a distance of 26 miles. If you add toget
andre [41]

Answer:

the runners have gone 20.8 times around the globe all together

Step-by-step explanation:

At the Bostom Marathon, we have a total of

N = 20,000 runners

We know that each runner ran a distance of

d = 26 miles

Therefore, the total distance travelled by all runners combined is:

D=Nd=(20,000)(26)=5.2\cdot 10^5 mi

We know that the circumference of the Earth is

c=2.5\cdot 10^4 mi

Here we want to find how many times around the globe would the marathon runners have gone. This can be found by calculating the following ratio:

n=\frac{D}{c}

And substituting the values, we find:

n=\frac{5.2\cdot 10^5}{2.5\cdot 10^4}=20.8

So, the runners have  gone 20.8 times around the globe all together.
