This was the International Conference on Population and Development. They studied things like immigration, infant mortality, birth control, family planning, the education of women, and safe abortion sites. They came to agreements on universal education, reduction of infant and child mortality rates, reduction of maternal mortality rates, and access to reproductive and sexual health services including family planning.

Hope that helps.

Why did Shi Huangdi have the Great Wall built?
Flauer [41]
Shi Huangdi had the Great Wall of China built to protect the Chinese states and borders against the raids and invasions of the various nomadic groups of the Eurasian Steppe. This included the Mongols to the north, which had been very powerful during the rule of Genghis Khan. The other purposes of the Great Wall were border controls, allowing duties on goods during the period of the Silk Road, regulation and encouragement of trade and the control of immigration and emigration.

One simple multiple choice question!! Is this right?
Bas_tet [7]

Answer:

They competed to dominate the slave trade.

Explanation:

One negative about the slave trade was that it tended to increase the amount of war that occurred in West Africa. The reason for this is that European (and American) slave traders did not simply go out into the African countryside and kidnap their own slaves. Instead, they bought slaves from the coastal kingdoms. Those kingdoms generally got slaves to sell through war and through raids against inland tribes. Because the slave traders wanted more slaves, the coastal kingdoms were encouraged to wage more wars and conduct more raids.

How does the structure of the body of the Declaration of Independence support Jefferson’s purpose
klasskru [66]

The Declaration begins with a short introductory statement called the Preamble that explains the reason for the document, which is to "declare the causes" that have created the need for the colonies to "dissolve the political bands" with England and reinvent itself as an independent nation.

The second section begins with a list of "truths" that the persons being represented by the Declaration consider to be "self-evident." This list sets out rights, or ends, that all people should expect to be granted and states the rights people have when those rights are not honored.

Why did President Hoover not help the unemployed?
andrezito [222]

Hoover's response to the Great Depression was the Smoot-Hawley tariff which rose tariffs on over 20,000 products. ... Hoover was nicknamed "Do nothing" by the Democrats, they blamed him for sticking to Laissez faire economics, but this accusation was wrong as he pushed for more state intervention which eventually failed.
