Answer:

The popular literary work - The Great Gatsby

Explanation:

ESSAY WORK

Interestingly, in this story the narrator Nick tries to describe the characters Tom, Gatsby and Daisy to readers from his own perspective. This was evident in the use of the word 'I' as Nick describes events.

However, Nick seems to be unreliable because at a point in time in his narration he said, "I am one of the few honest people I ever know". This statement creates a feeling of doubt about his narration to the reader.

The whole interpretation of the story is affected by his constant bias between the characters; speaking favourably to one character- Gatsby over the others. Thus he portrays Gatsby as the leading icon, which influences how the reader sees Gatsby.

navik [9.2K]

In the story, “The Cask of Amontillado,” Poe's use of an unreliable narrator to tell the story heightens the uncertainty and sense of horror felt by the reader.

Who is “The Cask of Amontillado,” about?

The short story “The Cask of Amontillado” was by Edgar Allen Poe. This depicts the narrative of a man's vengeance on a buddy that he believes has been mocking him for far too long.

Montresor is the story's narrator, but he lacks credibility because he only tells the story from his own perspective.

The fallible narration through the figure of Montresor casts doubt on the story and leaving readers undecided about their sensitivities about it.

Poe's choice of an unreliable narrator to recount the story heightens the reader's sense of doubt and terror.

Therefore, option B is correct.
