a) To create an equation

X+X =7

so what's X over here is

7² = x²

X=3.5

b) Real numbers are mixture of irrational and rational numbers so √5 and √6 are irrational where as 5 and 6 are not but they two are equal to each other.

Explaining the equation:

√5 +√6 = √11

5 +6 = 11

√11 =11

√= 11 ÷ 11

√= 1

So if root is 1 then -1 is -√

this is the answer propably

PLEASE HELP!
Leona [35]

Answer:

The initial temperature of the object was 37.6

Step-by-step explanation:

we have

f(t)=Ce^{(-kt)} +20

where

f(t) represent the temperature of the object in degree Celsius

t is the time in minutes

Find the value of the constant C

we have the ordered pair (4,35)

substitute in the equation and solve for C

35=Ce^{(-0.0399*4)} +20\\Ce^{(-0.0399*4)}=15\\C=15/e^{(-0.0399*4)}\\C=17.6

Find the initial value of the object

we know that

The initial temperature is the value of f(t) when the value of t is equal to zero

so

For t=0

f(0)=(17.6)e^{(-k*0)} +20\\f(0)=17.6 +20\\f(0)=37.6

therefore

The initial temperature of the object was 37.6 (I not include units)

What is the greatest common factor of the terms in the polynomial
ruslelena [56]

Answer:

4x^2

Step-by-step explanation:

The greatest common factor is the greatest number that can divide the terms. The greatest number that can divide each term is 4, and the greatest power of x that can divide each term is x^2. This is because it can't be any number greater than 4 since that number would never be able to divide into 4. This is also the reason why x^2 is the greatest power possible. It cannot be greater than anything divisible by itself. Thus, you multiply 4 by x^2 and the answer is 4x^2.
