1. Civil cases are usually about a business or agency sueing another because they sold a false product or made a false claim in marketing, though criminal cases are real issues, like murder or theft.
2. The 4 tiers of state court are lower courts, general trial courts, appeals courts, and state supreme courts.
3. A jury is a group of ordinary people who are supposed to listen to the evidence provided by the defendant and plaintiff, whereas a judge is an individual who understands both basic and complex principles of law to a certain degree in which he or she can make court decisions on a daily basis for he or she's job.
