A rectangular plot of ground is 5 meters longer than it is wide, It’s area is 20,000 square meters
Artyom0805 [142]
I'm assuming you're looking for the dimensions of the plot.  I'm going with that.  ;)  If the length of the plot is 5 meters longer than the width, then L = w + 5.  The area for a rectangle is L*w, and we have an area value of 20,000 so our formula is 20000=(w+5)(w) and 20,000=w^2+5w.  We will bring the 20,000 over by subtraction and set the polynomial equal to 0 to factor and solve for w.  w^2+5w-20,000=0  Solving for w we get values of w=138.9 and -143.9.  Of course the 2 things in math that will never EVER be negative are time and distance/length, so -143.9 is out.  Our width is 138.9 and the length is 138.9 + 5 so the length is 143.9.  And there you go!  Hope that's what you needed!

QUICK HELP!!!!
sasho [114]

Answer:

y =  \frac{3}{4} x -  \frac{3}{2}

Step-by-step explanation:

y =  \frac{3}{4} x - 1→y - y1 = m( x - x1)

y - 6 =  \frac{3}{4} (x - 6)→y - 6 =  \frac{3}{4} x - 6

2(y - 6) = 2( \frac{3}{4} )(x - 6)

2y - 6=  \frac{3}{2}( x - 6)

2y - 6 =  \frac{3}{2} x - 9

- 6 \: from \: both \: sides

2y  =  \frac{3}{2} x - 3

divede \: by \: 2 \: on \: both \: sides

y =  \frac{3}{4} x -  \frac{3}{2}

Hope this helps!

Al trazar en el plano cartesiano el angulo a cuyo lado terminal es el punto de ( 3,4). Los valores de las funciones del coseno y
Igoryamba

Answer:

cos(\alpha)=\frac{3}{5}=0.6

cosec(\alpha)=\frac{5}{4}=1.25

Step-by-step explanation:

El cos(α) se define como el cociente entre el cateto adyacente y la hipotenusa.

El valor del cateto adyacente en nuestgro caso es CA = 3.

La hipotenusa se calcual de la siguiente manera:

h=\sqrt{3^2+4^2}=5

Por lo tanto, el cos(α) sera:

cos(\alpha)=\frac{3}{5}=0.6

El cosec(α)=h/CO.

El cateto opuesto CO = 4 y la hipotenusa h = 5

Por lo tanto, el cosec(α) sera:

cosec(\alpha)=\frac{5}{4}=1.25

Espero te haya sido de ayuda!

IceJOKER [234]

Answer:

y = -6x — 13

Step-by-step explanation:

use y = mx + b equation and plug in what you know.

5 = -6(-3) + b —> solve for b

b = -13 —> plug in what you know into y=mx+b
