The correct answer is B.

In the factories employers paid women one-half to two-thirds of what men doing the same job earned.

Between 1840 and 1850, more women went to work in factories in the United States. They had to face discrimination not only regarding wages.

This necessity for better working conditions led to labor union organizing involving women.

In 1844, employees from Lowell Mill factory organized the Lowell Female Labor Reform Association (LFLRA) having Darah Bagley as the first president.

In 1850, Female Protective Union was established in Cleveland aiming to improve the conditions faced by women in the garment industry.

These organizations were succesfull in improving the life of the working women, but, even today, it is a subject that we must be on alert on a daily basis.

EastWind [94]
The Tang and Song rule is described to be the reunification and renaissance in Chinese civilization mostly due to the fact of military advancements, rapid expansion, the Civil Service Exams and taxation methods that developed over time. Li Yuan, Duke of Tang, established the golden age of Tang because of his rapid expansion and strong Chinese bureaucracy. The Civil Service exams created opportunities for families to raise their rank in the social and political hierarchy. The Song dynasty valued scholars over military, making them weak to invaders yet highly cultural and innovative.
