A movie rental website charges $5.00 per month for membership and $1.25 per movie.

Well she has to spend £5 on membership and so she has £24.75 left and one movie is £1.25 so you do 24.75 / 1.25 to get 19.8 so she can view 19 movies this month. Hope this helps :)

A manufacturer of coffee vending machines has designed a new, less expensive machine. The current machine is known to dispense (
cupoosta [38]

Answer:

t=(15-1) [\frac{0.219}{0.2}]^2 =16.7864

p_v = 2*P(\chi^2_{14}>16.786)=0.5355

And the 2 is because we are conducting a bilateral test.

\alpha=0.05 since the the p_v >0.05 we fail to reject the null hypothesis.

\alpha=0.01 since the the p_v >0.01 we fail to reject the null hypothesis.

Step-by-step explanation:

Data given

\mu=7 population mean (variable of interest)

\sigma=0.2 represent the population standard deviation

s=0.219 represent the sample deviation

n=15 represent the sample size

\alpha=0.05,0.01 represent the values for the significance level

Hypothesis test

On this case we want to check if the population standard deviation is equal or not to 0.2, so the system of hypothesis are:

H0: \sigma = 0.2

H1: \sigma \neq 0.2

In order to check the hypothesis we need to calculate the statistic given by the following formula:

t=(n-1) [\frac{s}{\sigma_o}]^2

This statistic have a Chi Square distribution distribution with n-1 degrees of freedom.

What is the value of your test statistic?

Now we have everything to replace into the formula for the statistic and we got:

t=(15-1) [\frac{0.219}{0.2}]^2 =16.7864

P value

We know the degrees of freedom of the distribution 14 on this case and we can find the p value like this:

p_v = 2*P(\chi^2_{14}>16.786)=0.5355

And the 2 is because we are conducting a bilateral test.

\alpha=0.05 since the the p_v >0.05 we fail to reject the null hypothesis.

\alpha=0.01 since the the p_v >0.01 we fail to reject the null hypothesis.

The length of a rectangle is 4 cm longer than the width the perimeter is no more than 28 cm what are the maximum possible dimens
cluponka [151]

Answer:

Width <= 5 and length <= 9

Step-by-step explanation:

Width: x

Length: x+4

2x + 2(x+4) <= 28 (less or equal)

2x + 2x + 8 <= 28

4x <= 28-8

x <= 20/4

x <= 5

A car traveled at a constant speed. The graph shows how far the car traveled, in miles, during a given amount of time, in hours.
snow_tiger [21]

Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

A car traveled at a constant speed as shown in the graph.

Distance traveled is on the y-axis and duration of travel on the x-axis.

Point A(3.5, 210) shows,

Distance traveled = 210 miles

Time to travel = 3.5 hours

So the point (3.5, 210) shows the distance traveled by the car in 3.5 hours is 210 miles.

Slope of the line = speed of the car = \frac{\text{Distance traveled}}{\text{Time}}

                           = \frac{210}{3.5}

                           = 60 mph

Now we will find the speed of the car at another point B(1, 60).

If the speed of car is same as the point B as of point A, point B will lie on the graph.

Speed of the car at B(1, 60) = \frac{\text{Distance traveled}}{\text{Time}}

                                             = \frac{60}{1}

                                             = 60 mph

Hence, we can say that point B(1, 60) lies on the graph.
