The change in status for women as they assisted the war effort at home was to play a role in helping them to be able to later on
Ksju [112]
True.

As men left jobs open when they went to fight in the war, women had to take up more positions in the workforce.  When the men came back, they needed their jobs back, and women weren't happy about being pushed back out of/kept from the workplace.  This incited a new sense of unity and purpose among women, and began the fight for gender equality in the workplace(and later on helped fuel the fire for more women's rights campaigns).

Hope this helps! :)

On January 1, 1863, President Abraham Lincoln issued the Emancipation Proclamation, freeing the slaves in Confederate territory.
denpristay [2]

Answer:

A. commander-in-chief of the military.

Explanation:

The Emancipation Proclamation was issued mainly as a directive for the Union Army, so it was basically military in its character. It affected only slaves living in the rebel states of the Confederacy, not those living in slave-states that had remained loyal to the Union. But I think President Abraham Lincoln acted in different capacities at the same time, they can´t be unlinked. Besides being the US armed forces commander-in-chief, he was the chief executive of government.

Which of the following describes the Enlightenment idea of social contract?
KIM [24]
Social contract is from rosseau's works in which says that the citizens discreetly sign an agreement with its government in which in return the govt protects their rights. all of these options are true about the enlightenment; however not so true when it comes to the social contract. thus the best option will be A. btw, c= is from Montesquieu and his ideas on 'checks and balanaces' which was followed by the usa.
