By using a scatter plot we can get the relationship of two variables or correlation.

There will be two types of correlation.

If the data of the plot show a positive slope of the estimated line then it will be a positive correlation.

Now a correlation value lie between 0 to 1 if it is very close to 0 like 0.1 , 0.2 then we can say the correlation is weak psitively correlated. and if it will be close to 1 like 0.8 or 0.9 then the correlation will be strong.

Similarly if slope of the estimated line will be negative then it will be a negative correlation.

From the above scatter plot notice that it has a negative slope and we can draw a fair estimate line on this scatter plot. So, there is strong negative correlation.

Hence the correct choice is -0.8.

3/5 divided by 1 1/4
Kipish [7]

Answer:

\frac{12}{55}

Step-by-step explanation:

To divide fractions, here are your steps:

1) Invert the fraction you are dividing by.

2) Multiply the numerators and denominators.

3) Simplify if necessary.

1)

\frac{3}{5} / \frac{4}{11}

2)

\frac{3 * 4}{5 * 11} = \frac{12}{55}

3)

Cannot be further simplified.

The width of a rectangle is X centimetres. the length of the rectangle is (X+5) centimetres.
Oliga [24]

Answer:

12 cm

Step-by-step explanation:

width = x

length = x + 5

perimeter = 38cm

perimeter = length + width + length + width

x + 5 + x + x + 5 + x = 38

4x + 10 = 38

4x = 28

x = 7

length = x + 5 = 7 + 5 = 12

Graph the equation
Lisa [10]
To find the root, replace y with 0
X^2-12x+35=0
A=1 B=-12 C=35
B^2-4ac=(-12)^2 -4(1)(35)
=144 -140
=4

x=(-b+/- square root of b^2 -4ac) /over/ (2a)
Plug in the numbers
x=-(-12) sqr (-12)^2 4(1)(35) / (2)(1)
X=12 +/-sqr 4 / 2
Positive outcome
x=12 + sqr 4 / 2
x=12+2/2
x=7 <— this one
Negative outcome
x=12-2i/2
x=6-i
