Answer:

e.monopolizing

Explanation:

Monopolizing in conversation is the act of focusing conversation on oneself rather than listening to other person in the conversation. In other words, it is the behavior where one takes over the conversation giving importance to oneself and not listening or giving a chance to others.

In the context, Jim monopolizes the conversation between him and Dinesh by focusing on his problems which he faces with his girlfriend and not listening to what Dinesh have to tell him.

Thus the correct option is (e).

Which is most likely to occur when technology advances?
viva [34]

An idiot would tell you that robots would take over the world. I honestly believe we as humans have the ability to make sure we don't go that far.

People, especially most Americans, have a borderline fetish for leisure. If it makes things easy, buy it, buy it, buy it now. Likely, more advancements will be made to make sure people won't have to leave their home via conventional ways to go to work. Basically, we get even more lazy than we already are, all things considered. Not to mention new innovations for war.

Some good can come from this, however. We require an alternative to fossil fuels, so green energy will be a must in the future. Advancements in medicine will thrive, after everyone discovers that there really are cures for almost anything (there's just no money for the doctors in curing the disease, only treating it). A cleaner Earth, a better planet, a better ecosystem.

Jennah's friend's father has just passed away. She does not just say she is sorry for the loss, but rather she tells her friend
fgiga [73]

Answer:

Empathy

Explanation:

The reason why answer choice "Empathy" would be the correct answer because Jennah is showing empathy towards her friend that recently passed away.

Empathy is the ability to understand what a person is feeling, more so putting themselves in the position that the person is feeling.

In this case, Jennah would be showing empathy towards her friend. She's showing empathy towards her friend by truly understanding the pain that her friend is going through and saying that she feels the pain that her friend's going through.

Jennah also understands the grief that her friend is going through and griefs, or cries, withe her friend. She understands the grief so much to the point where she starts crying too.

This is the reason why "Empathy" would best fit the example that the scenario describes.
