Sir Henry is the heir of Baskerville Hall in the book The Hound of the Baskervilles by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle. In this book, we see that Sir Henry is ready to go to his new home after he finds out that the previous lord of the estate, his uncle Sir Charles, died. However, before he is able to do so, Sir Henry receives a letter warning him about the dangers that await for him there, particularly a curse.

Sir Henry decides that he will go anyway, and this reveals several things about the character. This shows that Sir Henry is not particularly superstitious. It also shows that he is a brave man who is willing to face danger. Sir Henry states that "there is no devil in hell... and there is no man upon earth who can prevent me from going to the home of my own people." This shows that Sir Henry values his family and understands the importance of his role within it.
