Our two ratios are 4/21 and 3/14
we have to add them together
to do this, they have to have the same denominator
lets give them the denominator of 42
$\frac{3}{14} * \frac{3}{3}$
$\frac{4}{21} * \frac{2}{2}$
9/42 + 8/42 = 17/42
17 out of every 42 cards is faulty
