Answer:

The are a is 6

The length of h = 2.4

Step-by-step explanation:

This is a 3 4 5 special triangle so the length of the hypotenuse is 5

The area for a triangle is calculated by multiplying height to the base and that divided by two

Since it's a right triangle we can take any side length as the height and the result wouldn't change

4×3÷2 = 6 is the area for this triangle now we can use thus information to find the length of h :

h × 5 ÷ 2 = 6

5h = 12

h = 2.4

Amy wants to carpet a room that is 12 feet by 8 feet. How many square yards of carpet will she need to complete the room?
adelina 88 [10]
Assuming that the room is rectangle and carpet is rectangle
area=legnth times width
legnth=longer than width
12  is longer than 8
12ft=legnth
8ft=width

now convert to yards
1 yard=3 feet
1 foot=1/3 yard
12 ft times 1/3=4yards
8 ft times 1/3=8/3yards
multiply

area=4 tiimes 8/3
area=32/3
area=10 and 2/3 square yards
