exis [7]
Characteristics frequently associated with nonvoters are low education, low income, and being relatively young. Many times the less educated are not sure who to vote for or not clear on the issues. Those with a low income cannot take the time off of work to go vote as they cannot afford to miss work. Also, the relatively young do not vote as they are still self-involved, caring more about friends and developing their personal life as opposed to what is going on politically.

What was the American reaction to Haitian independence after their successful revolution?
Stolb23 [73]

Answer:

The Haitian Revolution created the second independent country in the Americas after the United States became independent in 1783. U.S. political leaders, many of them slaveowners, reacted to the emergence of Haiti as a state borne out of a slave revolt with ambivalence, at times providing aid to put down the revolt, and, later in the revolution, providing support to Toussaint L’Ouverture’s forces. Due to these shifts in policy and domestic concerns, the United States would not officially recognize Haitian independence until 1862. I rlly hope this helped have a great day!! <3 :)
