Answer: C.  have been waiting patiently for winter since the spring.

Explanation: A verbal phrase is the part of a sentence that contains the verb and any direct or indirect objects, but it doesn't include the subject (the person, animal or group that perform the action of the verb). In the given sentence, the subject is "I" and the verbal phrase is " have been waiting patiently for winter since the spring", where the verb is "have been waiting" and the rest of the phrase are the modifiers.

QveST [7]
The age to drive should not be raised to 21. Sixteen year olds are perfectly capable of driving. They are also in high school and soon to be in college. They should be able to leave and get food as well as drive to practice if they wish to peruse sports. If you are legally mature at the age of 18. Then you should be able to drive since way before the age of 21 at least.

In what ways does Okonkwo change over the course of the chapters in part 1 of "Things Fall Apart" by Achebe?
Gennadij [26K]

he was angry at his father and how he acted, so he vowed to never be like his father. unlike his dad, who was weak and a freeloader, okonkwo was quite the opposite of him and was very successful. he was obsessed with being successful. he was very arrogant and didn't take much care of his wives and children, which eventually turned on him when things went bad in the second part. the end of the first part is when okonkwo is caught in a bad situation and ends up being thrown out his motherland for 7 years. this is very different, especially for a man who was used ot being well respected and praised.
