diamong [38]

Answer:

B = 12.8 cm (to 1.d.p)

D = 24.1 cm (to 1.d.p)

Step-by-step explanation:

Using Pythagoras Theorem:

B: 4^2 + 3.5^2 = 28.25

square root 28.25 = 5.3 (to 1 decimal place) so this is the length of the missing side.

To find perimeter add sides a, b and c so...

perimeter of triangle B = 12.8 cm (to 1 decimal place)

D: 10^2 - 6.5^2 = 57.75

square root 57.75 = 7.6 (to 1 decimal place) so this is the length of the missing side.

To find perimeter add sides a, b and c so...

perimeter of triangle D = 24.1 cm (to 1 decimal place)

^2 indicates squared

Sorry but I'm not too sure / confident about A or C

4. Give an example of a like term for each of the following: a. 144 b. -95 c. 200 d. h²
Luda [366]

Answer: 1, -2, 3, 2h^{2}

Step-by-step explanation:

what is... a LIKE TERM????

a like term is a term that you can easily combine in an algebra equation. you can combine them because they share the same terms. FOR EXAMPLE.... YOU CAN COMBINE THESE ON THE LEFT SIDE OF THE EQUAL SIGN:

2x+3x=0

to

5x=0

so for a, b, and c... its basically any number that doesnt have a variable attached to it. THEY COULD BE ANYTHING. like 1, -2, and 3. but for d... its a different story.... because there is h^{2} so a like term could be 2h^{2}

notice that i wrote -2 for b... well theoretically it doesnt even have to be negative because you can combine a negative integer with a positive integer! i just made it negative for convenience....
