Use the idiom "lift the spirits" in a sentence. *
Alchen [17]

One good way of making use of an idiom in a sentence is:

 • The talk given to use by the principal did a lot to lift the spirits of the students.

The idiomatic phrase "lift the spirits" shows that a person who was previously sad or depressed had that mood changed and is now much happier than before.

With this in mind, we can see that this shows that words, encouragements, rewards, etc can help to lift the spirit of a person in any situation.

According to your textbook, a(n) __________ is an imaginary story that makes a general point.
Pepsi [2]

We can complete the sentence as "According to your textbook, a hypothetical example is an imaginary story that makes a general point," option 4.

What is a hypothetical example?

As the name suggests, a hypothetical example is simply an example that is not about a real story. It is an imaginary story, something fictitious, whose purpose is just to illustrate a point.

You can be reading a text where the author gives you a hypothetical example just to have you imagine a situation that proves his point. He can, for example, ask you to imagine yourself doing something that you would never do or have never done.

With the information above in mind, we can conclude that the answer provided above is correct. Option 4 is the best answer.

The complete question with the missing answer choices is the following:

According to your textbook, a(n) __________ is an imaginary story that makes a general point.

 • fable
 • illustration
 • simulated example
 • hypothetical example
 • anecdote

What is the theme of “The Oak and the Rose”
Margaret [11]

Answer:

A possible theme could be growing apart

Explanation:

the oak is a tree that will continue to grow and become very tall and will be able to see the view from the top

while the rose will only grow about like 8 inches and stay closer to the ground and won't get the same view as the tree causing it to get a limited view of what it will be able to see

I hope this right and will help you out a little bit.I read this like 3 years ago and just remember writing something like this in my notes.

What kind of creative story can I write using these words:
Tamiku [17]
There was once a detective who had perused a terrible scene at a house. Sad to say, the type of situation he had to take care was quite a banal one but, also a very implicit one. It was very imminent that the father had done the abuse to the mother; this was was easily assumed due to the fact the kinds were 3 to 4 years old. The detective has a very strong antipathy feeling towards these type of cases but, that is part of his job.
I hope this helps and makes sense. If it doesn't you kinda get the concept?
