Step-by-step explanation:

the area of a triangle is

baseline × height / 2

in our case we have a baseline with its associated height right there. and so the area is

Stuck, need help please.
Maurinko [17]

Answer:

22.5 lbs

Step-by-step explanation:

First you find the cubic feet. That is the volume of the object which is length*width*height.

In your example, they are using inches. So you have to convert all units to feet. That would be 0.5 inches, 0.5 inches, and 5/3 inches. The volume would be 0.5*0.5*5/3 which is about 5/12 cubic feet

You then take that 5/12 cubic feet and multiply it by the 54 lbs/cubic foot. The answer would be 22.5 lbs

Find a such that the solution of y'' + y' − 2y = 0, y(0) = a, y' (0) = 1 tends to zero as t → +∞.
Kay [80]

Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

y'' + y' − 2y = 0, y(0) = a, y' (0) = 1

Auxialary equation is

m^2+m-2=0\\m=-2,1

General solution is

y=Ae^{-2x} +Be^x

y(0) = A+B =a

y'(0) = -2Ae^{2x} +Be^x = -2A+B = 1

Eliminate B to get

3A =a-1

We know that y tends to 0 when x tends to infinity for any finite A

i.e. a should be a finite real number.
