Answer: x= -5; y=6

Step-by-step explanation:

−3x − 5y = −15

<u> −3x − 3y = −3 .(-1) </u>

−3x − 5y = −15

<u> +3x +3y = +3</u>

0 - 2y = -12

      y = <u>- 12</u>

            -2

y=6

−3x − 3y = −3

- 3x  -3.6 = -3

-3x  -18 = -3

-3x = 18-3

x= <u>15</u>

   -3

x= -5

From the equation we have :
-3x-5y=-15-3x-3y <=> -5y = -15-3y<=> 15= 5y-3y <=> 2y= 15 <=> y=15/2
We also have:
-3x-5y =-3. Given y= 15/2 => -3x -5(15/2)=-3 <=> -3x = -3x +5(15/2) = 34.5 <=> x = 34.5/3 =23/2 = 11.5

Y=3x+4<br> x+4y=-10<br> solve for substitution
maria [59]
Y=3x+4.....eq.(i) x+4y=-10....(eq.ii) putting value of y in eq.(ii),we get, x+4(3x+4)=-10 or x+12x+16=-10 or,13x=-10+16 or,13x=6 ●#x=6÷13 putting value if x in eq.(i),we get y=3(6÷13)+4 or,y=18÷13+4 or,y=(18+52)÷13 ●#y=70÷13

Find the common ratio, r, in the following geometric sequence. 27, 9, 3, 1,…
Shtirlitz [24]
To find the common ratio
divide by the previous numb/number beside it:
 \frac{9}{27}=\frac{1}{3},\:\quad \frac{3}{9}=\frac{1}{3},\:\quad \frac{1}{3}=\frac{1}{3}

so r=\frac{1}{3}

Step 1: –10 8x &lt; 6x – 4 step 2: –10 &lt; –2x – 4 step 3: –6 &lt; –2x step 4: ________ what is the final step in solving the i
stiks02 [169]

The final step of the inequality equation –10 + 8x < 6x – 4 is x > 3. Then the correct option is D.

<h3>What is inequality?</h3>

Inequality is simply a type of equation that does not have an equal sign in it. Inequality is defined as a statement about the relative size as well as is used to compare two statements.

The inequality equation is given below.

–10 + 8x < 6x – 4

This can be simplified as

–10 + 8x < 6x – 4

       –10 < –2x – 4

        –6 < –2x

        –3 < –x

          x > 3

More about the inequality link is given below.
