On the clock, it shows that it is 9:05. that is the time that Kim arrived at work.
then, it says that it took her 25 min to get to work from her house. 
all u need to do is go back 25 min from the clock or subtract 25 min.

To finish this problem, we subtract 25 minutes from 9:05.  This is equal to 8:40, so she left her house at 8:40 A.M., which means the answer is D.
