Answer:

  • all real numbers
  • all real numbers
  • 3 places where f(x)=4
  • f(1) = 4

Step-by-step explanation:

The domain is the horizontal extent of the graph. This graph has no horizontal gaps, and arrows on each end of the lines for large and small x. It is defined for all real numbers.

The range is the vertical extent of the graph. There are vertical gaps at some points (x=-4, x=1), but those gaps are filled by the function being defined elsewhere. The function is able to take on the values of all real numbers.

A line at y=4 crosses the graph 3 times. There are 3 values such that f(x)=4.

The graph shows f(1) = 4. The open circle at (1, -2) shows the function is not defined to be the value -2 at x=1.

What is the surface area of the prism
vovangra [49]
Not 100% sure its been a while. but ill try to explain.

so for the box on the top the sides are 10 and 8. the squares area is 80.

or the triangles, the height is 3 inches and base is 8 inches. so 8x3 is 24. but for triangles you divide by two. so it would be 12 for one triangle resulting in 24 for both of them.

now lets combine the bottom two boxes. each side is 10 because 10 on one side and 5+5 is 10. so 10x10=100.
if we take all the values and add them up well get 204.(80+24+100=204.

Fill on the other coordinate for the line 2x-3y=4 (2,)
Dmitriy789 [7]
For the first coordinate they have given it to you, so plug it in to get the y coordinate.
2x -3y = 4
2 * 2 - 3y = 4
4 - 3y = 4
4 - 4 - 3y = 4 - 4
-3y = 0
-3y/-3 = 0/-3
y = 0
(2, 0)
To find another set of coordinate to form a line, all you have to do is put in an x value that would make the line true.
2x -3y =4
2 * 8 - 3y = 4
16 - 3y = 4
16 - 16 -3y = 4 - 16
-3y = -12
-3y/-3 = -12/-3
y = 4
