Note that "hyperbole" means exaggeration. So for your sentences:

- sun: The sun is so hot, that i'm going to physically melt. (obviously it's not going to be that hot, or else you won't live to say the sentence)

- school: School is like a torture chamber. (obviously it isn't one)

- car: This car is so expensive, i'd have to sell an organ to buy it. (obviously it isn't THAT expensive).

- cheetah: This cheetah runs so fast, he runs faster than an jet fighter (extermely doubtful).

A non-restrictive modifier add information that does not restrict who the subject can refer to (compare to "The one Marlena that enjoys many subjects" -this one restricts the subject to a specific Marlena). Here it's "who enjoys many different subjects" - it adds additional information about her, but doesn't change the referent.
