The Voting Rights Act of 1965 is a landmark piece of federal legislation in the United States the prohibits racial discrimination in voting. It was signed into the law by United States President Lyndon B. Johnson during the height of the civil rights movement on August’s 6,1965, and Congress later amended the Act five times to expand its protections. Designed to enforce the voting rights guaranteed by the Fourteenth and Fifteenth Amendments to the United States Constitution, the Act secured the right to vote for racial minorities throughout the country, especially in the South. According to the U.S. Department of Justice, the Act is considered to be the most effective piece of federal civil rights legislation ever enacted in the county.

In recent years, researchers have offered alternatives to the categorical approach to the diagnosis of mental disorders. Specifi
JulijaS [17]

Answer:

The answer is dimensional and personality, respectively.

Explanation:

The dimensional approach views disorders as appearing in various degrees. For example, a person may present different levels, or dimensions, of a certain trait, such as empathy or self-esteem. In contrast, the categorical approach sees disorders as a matter of simply having them or not.

A common analogy is that, while the categorical approach is an on/off switch, the dimensional approach is more like a dimmer switch.

dangina [55]

Answer:Disaffirmance

Explanation:

Disaffirmance , It defines a fact that a voidable contract is void. This means a person who had signed a voidable contract has the right to not abide by it.

A person may verbally state that they won't abide by the contract or they will just choose to not do what the contract says without actual stating that they won't abide by it.

A voidable contract is the one in which two parties formally agree on something but this contract is not enforceable for several legal reasons.

Reasons that can make a contract voidable :

-Misrepresentation or fraud by one of the parties

-If someone is threatened to enter through a contract

- When one party is legally incapacity to be part of the contract such as Jacquie who entered a contract before he reached an age of majority.

Age of majority is an age when someone is considered an adult by the law.

How have changes in transportation affected Washington,D.C?
yarga [219]

The impact of the changes in transportation is mixed; traffic has increased in certain areas and decreased in some others; around 90% of traffic is in west Washington, but infrastructural impairment is major at eastern and central zones.

The closure of several ramps reduced truck traffic in those areas, making loads running over longer distances on roads with higher load capacities; thus also decreasing the rail inter-modal trucks flow on public roads.

New technologies in lift devices and computerized terminals were installed; now traffic is highly influenced by the big gateways, and fewer miles on public roads are moved by piggyback devices.

As a consequence of the changes in transportation, the health care association have expanded volunteer driver programs, making volunteer drivers receive mileage reimbursement, requisite training and support to their workforce as an aid to offset maintenance costs.
