The main purpose of the Americans with Disabilities (ADA), is to ensure that disabled people have the same rights as everyone else and do not face discrimination in the process. This makes it so employers can not discriminate or treat people who have a disability any differently and have to give them the same promotions, pay, and hours as anybody else.
