The reasons the author, Dweck, provides to support her claim is as follows. There are a vast number of people in the wold whose biased mind towards perfection prevents them to acknowledge that they're pretty capable of making mistakes, since this is also part of human behaviour. Instead, people focus way too much on their perfect sides and have a lot of innecesary pride.
