The group that completes the nopaline-type Ti plasmid pTiC58 are the two proteins named  VirC1 and VirC2. The structure of these two differs in such a way that the protein VirC1 is made up of 231 amino acids and there 202 amino acids that make up the  VirC2  protein.

The regulatory process of genes and the structure of proteins are similar for the octopine- and nopaline-type Ti plasmid virC genes. For the determination and for ensuring the occurrence of nick the  VirC protein helps in binding for overriding the sequence which is at the T-DNA's right border.
