Answer:

The value of (f+g) x=x^{2}+3 x-2+1

Solution:

From question given that f(x)=3x-2 --- eqn 1(1)

And g(x)=x^{2}+1  --- eqn 2

We need to calculate (f+g)x

Since (f+g)x=f(x)+g(x)       --- eqn (3)

On substituting the value of f(x) and g(x) in equation (3) using equation (1) and (2),

(f+g) x=3 x-2+x^{2}+1

Rewrite the above term,

(f+g) x=x^{2}+3 x-1

On simplifying the above term,

(f+g) x=x^{2}+3 x-1

Hence value of (f+g) x= x^{2}+3 x-2+1

Question 3 (1 point)Writing from point slope to slope intercepty + 3 = 1/2(x+4)
galina1969 [7]

The given equation in the point slope form is expressed as

y + 3 = 1/2(x + 4)

The standard form for a point slope equation is expressed as

y - y1 = m(x - x1)

Where

m represents slope

By comparing both equations,

slope, m = 1/2

y1 = - 3(we know that y - - 3 = y + 3)

x1 = - 4(We know that x - - 4 = x + 4)

The slope intercept form is expressed as

y = mx + c

Where

c represents the y intercept

We would determine c by substituting x = - 4, y = - 3 and m = 1/2 into the slope intercept equation. It becomes

- 3 = 1/2 * - 4 + c

- 3 = - 2 + c

c = - 3 + 2

c = - 1

Substituting c = - 1 and m = 1/2 into the slope intercept equation, it becomes

y = x/2 - 1

The equation in slope intercept form is

y = x/2 - 1

Gwar [14]

Answer:

19.80

Step-by-step explanation:

Given the equation :

y = a (e)^kt

If a = 100, y = 50, and k = -0.035, find t.

50 = 100(e)^(-0.035t)

50/100 = e^(-0.035t)

0.5 = e^-0.035t

Take the In

In(0.5) = - 0.035t

-0.693147 = - 0.035t

-0.693147 / - 0.035 = t

19.8042 = t

Hence, t = 19.80

lilavasa [31]

Answer:

-1 1/4

Step-by-step explanation:

If the numerator is greater than or equal to the denominator of a fraction, then it is called an improper fraction. In that case, you could convert it into a whole number or mixed number fraction.
