In mathematics, the word 'of' always means multiplication, so to find out what 15% of $10.00 is, all we need to do is multiply the percentage by the dollar amount we are reducing.

In order to do this, we must first convert the percentage into a decimal. To do this, we can either divide the percentage by 100, or (my personal shortcut) just shift the decimal point over two places to the left.

15% = 0.15

So now, we can multiply.

0.15 * 10 = 1.5

which is our answer.
15% of $10.00 is $1.50.
Hope that helped! =)

Given
mZAOC is a straight angle.
MZAOB = 8x + 51°
mZBOC = 6x - 25°
Find mZAOB=
Tatiana [17]

Answer:

∠ AOB = 139°

Step-by-step explanation:

Since AOC is a straight line then

∠ AOB + ∠BOC = 180° , that is

8x + 51 + 6x - 25 = 180

14x + 26 = 180 ( subtract 26 from both sides )

14x = 154 ( divide both sides by 14 )

x = 11

Then

∠ AOB = 8x + 51 = 8(11) + 51 = 88 + 51 = 139°

Anton [14]

Answer:

The answer is 40

Step-by-step explanation:

28/x=7/10

firs you need to setup this equation and solve it to get 40

there are 12 girls in the band and 28 boys in the band and I know this because 12+28=40 just like 3/10 + 7/10= 10/10
